Plano remains under Stage 3 water conservation measures and it is time to transition to our winter watering schedule. Under the winter schedule, residential and commercial customers are allowed to water with sprinklers once every other week.
Odd addresses may water every other Tuesday
beginning Nov. 5. Even addresses may water every other Thursday
beginning Nov. 14. To help you adjust to the new schedule, which will
remain through March 2014, the City has prepared a watering calendar
with guidelines for outdoor water use on the water page.
The winter schedule allows you to water any time of day on your designated watering day. Planting cool season grasses, such as rye grass, will remain prohibited. We share our water supply with other North Texas Municipal Water District member cities who are taking similar conservation measures. Your cooperation is critical to avoiding more stringent water restrictions
